FAQ :- Frequently Asked Questions

How to look after your pottery
All my pottery is stoneware pottery unless specifically stated otherwise, this means it is high-fired and can withstand higher temperatures. This means it can go in the dishwasher safely. Handwashing will of course prolong the life of the item and the glaze. However I pop my own in the dishwasher and even pop them in the microwave without harm.

What to expect
All my pottery is handmade, using with a potters wheel or hand-built from slab. It is hand-glazed by painting on or dipping in the glaze. Your item will be beautiful and thoughtfully created. Please make sure you read the listings carefully as it will describe the scale and size of your item. If you have any queries, please let me know. However, please note - because all my work is handmade, no two items will be completely identical and there made me minor differences in glaze etc.

Postage and packaging

Where possible I used recycled and recyclable packaging. If you find your pot sometimes wrapped in packaging I salvaged from my own orders, don't be surprised. However, all the packaging will be done to the highest standard and I will make sure your order if beautifully packaged, especially if you let me know its a gift.

Custom and specific orders
If you've seen something on my site which is sold out and you're very keen, let me know and I can let you know when the next batch due. I also stock some stores locally and I may be able to direct you to one of those. I'm happy to discuss custom orders, drop me an email and we can discuss your needs and my abilities! I work on batch production. This means once I've built up a stock I'll release it on the website. It can take 6-8 weeks to produce a batch of items, so if you have requested a specific item, please allow for this delay.
