Welcome to Caitriona Harvey Pottery
I'm Caitríona (pronounced Catrina) and I'm Irish but live in South Wales. Ireland is in everything I do, but the beautiful area I call home these days also brings inspiration to my work.
I live at the bottom of the Rhondda Valley with my family and make pottery out of the garage at my home.
Whilst I spent my formative years working for the Welsh public sector, after taking an Environmental degree in Cardiff, in 2022 I decided it was time to spend my days being a little more creative.
Nowadays, you can find me working away in my garage, at a market somewhere peddling my wares or teaching pottery.
All my work is made with the aim of being practical and useful whilst also beautiful. I want you to use what you buy and hopefully get the same joy from using it that I get whilst making it.
I love making pottery. Its one of the most peaceful things to do and it taught me I had a creative side I didn't know existed. Which is one of the reasons I teach as well. I want it to be for everyone, not just those who know they can.
